The Future of AI-Augmented Salesforce Consulting

23 March 2026 · Shumon Choudhury

In part one, we explained why we started using Claude to amplify Salesforce delivery. In part two, we walked through building a reporting skill that turns hours of manual data gathering into minutes. In this final post, we look at where this is heading.

Beyond reporting

The Salesforce reporting skill was a starting point — a proof of concept that validated the approach. But the same pattern applies to virtually every aspect of Salesforce consulting.

Here is what we are building towards.

Automation audits

Every mature Salesforce org accumulates automation: flows, process builders, workflow rules, triggers, validation rules. Over time, these interact in ways nobody fully understands. A single record save might fire six automations in an order that nobody documented.

An AI-augmented automation audit can map these dependencies programmatically. Query the metadata API, trace execution paths, identify conflicts and redundancies, and produce a dependency diagram — all before the consultant has finished their first stakeholder interview.

The consultant then focuses on what matters: which automations are serving the business and which are legacy clutter. The mechanics of discovery are handled.

Data quality monitoring

Most Salesforce health checks are point-in-time assessments. You audit the org, deliver a report, and leave. But data quality is not static — it degrades continuously as new records are created, integrations run, and users find workarounds.

We are exploring skills that can run data quality checks on a schedule: duplicate detection, field completion trends, referential integrity, and adoption metrics. The output feeds into a dashboard that the client's team can monitor independently — turning a one-off engagement into ongoing visibility.

Architecture review assistance

When evaluating whether an org's architecture is fit for purpose, the consultant needs to understand the full picture: objects, relationships, sharing rules, permission sets, integration patterns, and data volumes. Gathering this information manually is one of the most time-consuming parts of any architecture review.

A skill that queries the metadata API, maps object relationships, and produces a visual architecture diagram gives the consultant a head start. The expertise is still in interpreting what you see — but you get to the interpretation phase much faster.

What Agentforce and Einstein mean for this approach

Salesforce's own AI investments — Agentforce, Einstein GPT, Einstein Copilot — are aimed at end users: sales representatives, service agents, marketers. They are valuable tools, and we help clients evaluate and implement them.

But the approach we are describing is different. It is not about AI for Salesforce users. It is about AI for Salesforce consultants. The people who design, build, and optimise the platform.

These are complementary, not competing. Agentforce helps your sales team work more effectively inside Salesforce. Claude helps your consulting partner work more effectively on Salesforce.

The organisations that benefit most will be those that embrace both: AI-powered user experiences and AI-augmented consulting delivery.

What this means for organisations

If you are investing in Salesforce — or considering it — the consultancy you work with matters more than ever. Not just because of their Salesforce expertise, but because of how they work.

A consultancy that uses AI to augment its delivery can:

  • Move faster without cutting corners
  • Go deeper without extending timelines
  • Deliver more consistently without relying on individual heroics
  • Focus expertise on the strategic decisions that actually determine success

The Salesforce ecosystem is entering a period of significant change. The platform is becoming more capable, more complex, and more AI-native. The consultancies that adapt their own ways of working — not just the advice they give — will be the ones that deliver the most value.
