Why We Deliver Our AI Audit by Voice — with an AI
1 August 2026 · JourneyForce
Every free AI audit in the UK we've found is a web form, a quiz, or a booked call with a consultant. Ours is a ten-minute phone-style conversation with Alice — an AI, and she says so in her first sentence. That's not a gimmick; it's a considered bet about how small business owners actually communicate.
Why voice
Owners of trade and local businesses spend their day on the phone, not in forms. Industry data through 2025 showed AI voice agents answering a rapidly growing share of inbound small-business calls precisely because a conversation is lower-friction than a form — you talk the way you'd talk to anyone, tangents included, and the tangents are usually where the real problems live. "The van schedule is chaos every Monday" never fits in a dropdown.
A conversation also adapts. Alice's questions follow what you actually say — a café gets asked different things than a plumbing firm, because the answers steer her.
Why an AI, openly
Three reasons, honestly stated:
- It practises what we preach. We sell calibrated, carefully-governed AI. The audit is a working demonstration — the same discipline (a fixed set of facts Alice may state, no invented capabilities, no prices she isn't given) that we build into every client agent.
- It scales the free part without diluting it. A human doing every ten-minute discovery call would make the audit scarce or salesy. Alice makes it genuinely free and always available — and a person still reads every summary before it's sent.
- Disclosure is the trust test. Alice opens by telling you she's an AI. If an AI product can't survive being honest about being an AI, it shouldn't exist.
What happens with what you say
The call is transcribed and summarised; within a working day you get a written map of where AI genuinely helps your business — and, just as importantly, where it doesn't. If nothing points to a real opportunity, the summary says that plainly. There's no obligation attached, and everything we might sell you afterwards is published, priced, and capped.
Ask Alice — start the free audit. Ten minutes. She'll introduce herself properly.
